TrafficmasterCongestion is one of the UK's biggest transport problems. Congestion costs the UK £20 billion a year in time wasted on the roads and over the last 5 years, congestion has increased by 56%. The Trafficmaster network covers over 8,000 miles of motorway and trunk roads in England, Scotland and Wales using a network of 7500 roadside sensors that measure traffic flow speeds and delays. We use the top of the range touch screen Trafficmaster Monitor
which updates every 3 minutes to keep us up to speed on adverse
traffic incidents and delays.

Street Navigation Sat Nav has been with us for a while now. We bought our first
unit in 1997. It was made by Philips, cost a fortune and seemed
to send you in every direction except the right direction. Lucky
for us technology moved on and we now rely on Tomtom navigation
software. We run the program on an in cab PDA so it enables our
driver to remove the unit from the transporter and preload the
delivery destinations from the comfort of his own home. Tomtom
are recognised as a market leader in street to street navigation.

Vehicle TrackingA small black box wired into our transporters provides accurate location information if we should need to locate one of our fleet. As an optional extra service we can give our clients access to the tracking information direct to their mobile phone. One quick request would provide you with a SMS text message
containing the area, direction of travel, speed and the LAT /
LON co-ordinates of the transporter that is carrying your vehicle.

Mobile PhoneIts often taken for granted but the humble mobile phone is just as important to us than all the advanced features of our service that are listed above because it allows us to be in touch with our customers. We firmly believe that communication is the key to a successful delivery. Our mobiles announce our arrivals and departures to our customers allowing them to make the most of their time. We wont keep you waiting all day for a driver to arrive - We
will phone ahead and let you know what's happening. Our mobiles
are email enabled so also deliver instructions to the transporter
driver without disturbing him if he is unloading a vehicle or
on a rest break. When you book with us we send you a confirmation
email that includes the mobile number for the driver who is actually
doing your job so you are never out of touch.
